According to the court, attempts by Dr. Opuni to have the presiding judge recuse himself from the trial are malicious and calculated efforts to delay the trial and also to seek public sympathy. Justice Honyenuga said allegations of bias levelled against him by the accused person failed because there were no clear legal grounds to back the claim, hence the dismissal. “Therefore, without prejudice to the parties, it is fair to conclude from these statements that an intolerable adversary atmosphere has developed between Justice Honyenuga and Opuni,” Kwaku Azar’s post read further. The court also indicated that cross-examination of the accused persons would not exceed two days.

Ghana’s Ministry of Food and Agriculture has asked traders to buy tomatoes from local producers instead of getting them from Burkina Faso. According to the Head of Public Relations at the Ministry, Bagbara Tanko, numerous tomato seeds were distributed to farmers across the country following a protest they embarked on earlier this year. Tomato farmers now expect to have a bumper harvest. In a recent interview, Tanko said: "We all recall the demonstration of the tomato traders earlier this year. Looking at the quantities of tomato seeds that were distributed countrywide, we are expecting that this year there will be a good harvest and we don't expect these traders to travel all the way to Burkina Faso.

A lecturer at the University of Education Winneba, Mr. Samuel Ziggah has opined that there is nothing great to celebrate about the 2021 WASSCE results. The lecturer and educationist asserted that the results were not all that credible considering how the government bought ‘aloft for the candidates. He explained the examination was induced with an easy way out for the candidates hence they did not put in enough effort. This implies that over 45 per cent of the candidates who sat for the 2021 WASSCE failed Mathematics and English Language. He warned if politicians keep interfering in the affairs of education, we will continue to witness these same bad results.

The address which has become known as "Fellow Ghanaians," was last presented in July. He said tomato farmers are expected to have a bumper harvest during this festive period. He noted that the Food and Agric Ministry is supplying farmers with the varieties of tomatoes these traders purchase from Burkina Faso to ensure that traders keep buying from local producers. In an interview with Citi Business News, Tanko said, “We all recall the demonstration of the tomato traders earlier this year. In February this year, tomato traders and transporters association embarked on a strike. Reacting to the call that tomato traders should not travel to Burkina Faso for produce, the National Chairman of Ghana National Tomato Traders and Transporters’ Association, Eric Osei Tuffuor said they [traders] will not relent until their issues are addressed.

Hajia Fati a National Security personnel and a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has asked the women’s organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Hannah Bissiw to reverse the curses she rained on Adwoa Safo. According to her, Hannah Bissiw has cursed her daughter who is the Dome Kwabenya Member of Parliament; which is a bad omen for the Minister and therefore the earlier she reverses it the better for her. Hajia Fati promises a showdown if Hannah Bissiw fails to comply with her directive indicating that she will advise herself and take things into her own hands. Hannah Bissiw could not fathom why she will support such diabolic moves considering the fact that the 2022 budget imposes hardship on the people of Ghana. The NDC women organizer then cursed Adwoa Safo that if she was not the one and claims to be the one present in Parliament the gods should deal with her.

The Minority in parliament has revealed that the government spent over GHC30 million on conferences during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country. According to the Minority Chief Whip, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka, they are ready to demand full details on how these monies were spent to ensure Ghanaians know how the nation’s scarce resources are being used under the Nana Akufo-Addo administration. The National Democratic Congress is challenging the annulment of the results of the Assin North 2020 parliamentary elections by a court presided by Justice Akwasi Boakye. Meanwhile, the NDC has served notice that it intends to pursue the matter to the Supreme Court to have the judgement overturned.

Broadcaster Kwami Sefa Kayi has received an award for his selfless and great works in media and to humanity. Mr. Sefa Kayi was awarded with Most Influential Man Award and Media Development Award at the GhanaWeb Excellence Awards held on Saturday December 11, 2021 at the Accra City Hotel. The black-tie event was climaxed with a total of 20 personalities and organizations taking home awards in honour of their significant contributions to national development. The multiple award-winning broadcaster won this Influential Man Award among the nominees namely the late former President of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings, Henry Quartey, Bernard Avle and Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams. For the Media Development Award, the nominees included broadcaster Captain Smart, seasoned journalist Kweku Baako Jnr., Kwame Karikari and Bernard Avle.
