'We will keep the lights on' – Energy Minister assures Ghanaians

Acknowledging the challenges posed by rising energy consumption, Dr Jinapor revealed that the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) had recorded an all-time high generation peak of approximately 4,300 megawatts. It means that we have to work very hard to sustain power supply and keep the lights on,” he noted. He stressed that the Ministry and its allied agencies would need to double their efforts to ensure a reliable power supply. Dr Jinapor also addressed legal professionals from the energy sector who participated in the walk, highlighting their critical role.
