When we got to the place known as Asante today, the people of Kumasi were under Denkyira and they were responsible for getting Denkyirahene firewood that is ‘akuma ase’ but today, because of their population, they have changed it. If you are a chief and you are brilliant and you know the law, people are afraid of you...,” Dormaahene stressed.

A disappointed Majority Caucus in Parliament has questioned the locus for which the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, would create an impression that he is being gagged. According to the Majority Caucus, the position of the Speaker of Parliament makes him a neutral person, for which reason he isn't allowed to talk on just about anything he wants, any time. “The statement from the Speaker's office emphasises that the withdrawal of the military personnel is an attempt to gag Mr. Bagbin. Therefore, what voice does the Speaker have that is being muted or gagged?” the statement read in part. Bagbin is unappreciative of these gestures from the state,” the statement added.

The government of Ghana must take steps to sanitise the religious space in order to safeguard the peace and security of the country. This is the view of Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson who holds that the current trajectory some church leaders in Ghana were proceeding on pointed to the fact that there was the need for regulation. In an interview that aired on Accra-based Asaase Radio, the senior Vatican official pointed Ghana in the direction of Rwanda as a good reference point with respect to regulation of especially the activities of church leaders. His views are at variance with that of a number of Charismatic church leaders who have openly opposed what they say is a move by the Ghana Police Service to impose regulations on their activities. “On the 6th of January the police sent a communique…they said the police is analysing the prophecies of the various churches.

Few months later, you decided to abandon me and the team to fight our own fight on a flimsy excuse. "Instead of keeping to the commitment of conceding to me to go again so you can come after, you contested me. Should the assurance I gave you still hold even after you subsequently withdrew your commitment to me on two separate occasions? At the back of his analogy, Dr Gideon Boako has laughed off what he described as a desperate and awkward attempt by Mr Alan Kojo Kyerematen to create a false impression about the assurance given him by President Akufo-Addo in 2007. "With this, any desperate and awkward attempt to create a false impression that an assurance for which tenets you have grossly violated still holds can only be laughable," he said.
