The two are Dr. Afriyie Akoto who is Agric Minister, and the Trades Minister, Alan Kyerematen. Prior to this, Dr. Afriyie Akoto has been in the media, confirming his interest in chasing the position. A few days ago, Alan Kyerematen had his turn, advocating for party members to rally behind him and give him a chance to lead the party. Another question is, if these ministers resign, which persons will be their substitutes?

E-levy will be passed when Bagbin is presiding – Oppong Nkrumah
“The E-levy is still on the table,” he told the host of Citi TV’s Face To Face programme on Monday, January 10, 2022. The House led by the First Deputy Speaker, Joseph Osei-Owusu approved the budget. On the issue of the E-levy, it went through the Finance Committee stage only after the chairman cast a deciding vote. Sittings restart on January 25 and Bagbin, who has openly expressed disagreement with the E-levy, will be expected to resume his seat. He is on record as saying the ruling party will lose the net election if it forces through the 1.75% levy on all electronic transactions.

GNPC’s KK Sarpong and Freddie Blay directors of an off-shore oil company – ACEP alleges
According to ACEP, their checks revealed that GNPC is seeking to assign interests in some of Ghana oil blocks to the company known as Jubilee Oil Holdings. The alleged transaction, Mr. Yaotse said, relates to GNPC’s quest to acquire 7% commercial interest in the oil blocs of Ghana. GNPC in 2021 announced moves to acquire the said interest, adding that it will be transferred to GNPC’s subsidiary, the GNPC Exploration and Production Company (GNPC Explorco). “Jubilee Oil Holdings is registered in the Cayman Islands with Kofi Koduah [KK] Sarpong and Freddie Blay as directors,” he said.
