Pre-Development Agreement (PDA) contracts have now been signed and will allow Sepulveda Transit Corridor Partners – Bechtel to further develop its proposed heavy rail transit concept and L.A. SkyRail Express to continue developing its proposed monorail concept. Metro’s Notices to Proceed follow the Metro Board’s approval earlier this year of a $69.9-million contract to Sepulveda Transit Corridor Partners – Bechtel and a $63.6-million contract to L.A. SkyRail Express. The idea of using a PDA on the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project was a critical component of several unsolicited proposals submitted to Metro’s Office of Extraordinary Innovation in 2016. The Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project is funded in part by Measure M, the transportation sales tax approved by 71 percent of Los Angeles County voters in 2016. “We will be customer-focused and committed to public transparency and inclusion during every step of this process.”RELATED POSTSHere are the five routes that will be studied for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor projectContracts for Pre-Development Work on Sepulveda Transit Project approved by Metro BoardLike this: Like Loading...

HANOI(Reuters) -Vietnam’s COVID-19 vaccination drive has been too slow in many areas, state media cited the health minister as saying on Tuesday, as the Southeast Asian nation battled its worst coronavirus outbreak yet. Vietnam successfully contained the coronavirus for most of last year, but a Delta-driven outbreak that has infected more than 165,000 people since late April has increased pressure on authorities for a faster vaccination rollout. “Vaccination is now a priority and urgent task for localities,” Nguyen Thanh Long was quoted as saying by the Vietnam News Agency. Data from the health ministry showed Vietnam has only fully vaccinated 700,000 people, or less than 1% of the country’s 98 million people, since it launched a rollout in early March. Seven million vaccine doses have been administered, however, though this only accounted for 42.5% of the vaccine received so far, the data showed.
