Based at Cornell Law School, Path2Papers offers legal consultations and guidance to DACA-eligible San Francisco Bay area residents and Cornell students. It will also be the focus of Cornell Law’s 1L Immigration Law and Advocacy Clinic. The clinic provides select Cornell Law students with the opportunity to contribute to immigration cases and provide education on immigration law. This is why the Working Families Party, Workers Center and countless small businesses, unions, and local organizations are advocating for a new piece of legislation: Just Cause Employment Protection. Just Cause means employers, not just workers, are held accountable, and establishes a local commission to review possible violations. Yet somehow, more than four decades later, the US still has no federal or even state policy regarding just cause employment, despite the fact that worker support for just cause is bipartisan. In Ithaca, just cause employment is especially important due to skyrocketing rents and an increasing living wage (now $18.45). Just cause legislation has been introduced all over the country, and has existed in other countries for years, with no noticeable negative effects on business.

On Jan. 6th 2021, I went to D.C. to film what was occurring. Due this existential danger, it is time for Democrat Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race. However, with so much on the line with a possible dictatorial government under Trump, the Democrats need to be much more strategic. However, the one issue that is going to be the ultimate disaster for Biden is his policy on Israel. A Biden win is off the table, and we need to face that harsh reality now.
