The Reds also have some serious voids in their pitching ranks, especially if Nick Martinez declines his Qualifying Offer and becomes a free agent. Preface prefaced, it appears the Reds and Kansas City Royals are having some preliminary talks about a deal that would send 2B Jonathan India to KC in exchange for RHP Brady Singer in a swap of players who were once teammates at the University of Florida. Sources: Reds, Royals discussing trade of Jonathan India, Brady Singer. Singer posted a solid 3.71 ERA/3.93 FIP in 179.2 IP for Kansas City last season, and he’s topped 150+ IP in each of the last trio of years. It could well be something the Reds are willing to do regardless of what decision Martinez makes this week.

"Say Nothing" re-creates only two, with IRA volunteer Dolours Price (Lola Petticrew young; Maxine Peake older) and commander Brendan Hughes (Anthony Boyle young; Tom Vaughan-Lawlor older), called "The Dark." When we meet them, the Price sisters are working peacefully for equal rights, belittled by their father (Stuart Graham), a proud veteran of an earlier chapter of "the armed struggle" who "bled on the battlefield." The fight to find her remains provides the series' most moving moments, but it's Dolours who is its dramatic key. Compared to the Price sisters, their stories are comparatively undeveloped; as in ballet, the men are there for lifts and catches. There is some violence onscreen, or just offscreen, perpetrated by or against the characters — you feel it in either case.

Perhaps more than an actor raised outside of Belfast, Petticrew was able to understand on a visceral level what compelled Dolours to commit acts of terrorism. For Doupe, who is just 23 and is from the Republic of Ireland, the Troubles represented less familiar terrain. Still, she was able to relate to Marian, the quiet yet flinty younger sister who looks up to the fiery Dolours. (Doupe and Price play Marian and Dolours as young women; Maxine Peake and Helen Behan play them in middle age.) Perhaps more than anything, "Say Nothing" captures the ideological fervor that often characterizes the very young: Marian was only 17 when many of the events in the series take place, and Dolours barely in her 20s.

Oregonians may have a special place in their hearts for Keiko, the killer whale that became famous because of the Oregon-filmed movie, “Free Willy,” and who later lived at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, in Newport. Amid calls for Keiko to be liberated from that inadequate facility, the orca was moved in January 1996 to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. While some experts believed that Keiko’s years in captivity made the idea of returning him to the wild unrealistic, others were committed to setting Keiko free. According to the press release, “The Good Whale,” which launched on Nov. 14, tells the story of “the wildly ambitious science experiment to return Keiko to the ocean – while the world watched. correction A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that the Onion bid $3.5 million for Infowars. A federal bankruptcy judge has paused the Onion’s acquisition of Alex Jones’s Infowars pending a court review of the auction process, after lawyers for Jones and the company affiliated with him complained about how the auction was conducted and how their $3.5 million bid was handled. The Onion, which planned to relaunch the conspiracy-minded Infowars as a parody website, was named the winner of the bankruptcy auction held in Houston on Thursday. A group of Sandy Hook families who filed the defamation lawsuit against Jones agreed to accept a smaller payout to increase the overall value of the Onion’s bid, according to the families’ lawyers. “No one should feel comfortable with the results of this auction.”During his Infowars show Thursday, Jones called the sealed bidding process “rigged.”

CNN host Michael Smerconish admitted that the mainstream media’s "constant browbeating" of conservatives backfired and contributed to President-elect Trump’s big win last week. Back in August, Smerconish said on Friday that Trump held a significant advantage over Vice President Harris on policy. If it is, he loses," Smerconish said of Trump, adding that Trump, however, "probably wins" in a battle over policy with Harris. Fellow liberal pundit, HBO host Bill Maher recently gave the reason he believes Vice President Kamala Harris lost to Trump, namely that the Democratic Party is too radical. He added, "You're the teachers' union education party and you've turned schools and colleges into a joke.
