ATACMS: Biden authorizes Ukraine to use long-range US weapons in Russia
CNN —President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use powerful long-range American weapons inside Russia, according to two US officials familiar with the decision, as North Korean troops deploy in support of Moscow’s effort. The decision to allow the use of the Army Tactical Missile Systems, or ATACMS, inside Russia had been under consideration for months. But Biden secretly approved the transfer of the long-range ATACMS missiles in February for use inside Ukrainian territory, and the US delivered the missiles in April. Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky had been pressing Washington to allow use of the weapons inside Russia, too, arguing he needed the capability to gain momentum in his war effort. A Trump transition spokesperson declined Sunday to address reports that Biden had authorized Ukraine to use long-range American missiles inside Russia.

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin is among the five healthiest major cities in the U.S., according to a new analysis from Forbes Advisor. Forbes analyzed the 46 most populated cities in the country across eight categories: rate of heart disease deaths, rate of opioid overdoses, diabetes rate, high blood pressure rate, binge drinking rate, obesity rate, smoking rate and rate of adults who report physical inactivity. Austin had the lowest percentage of high blood pressure, fifth lowest rate of adults who reported smoking, and fourth lowest rate of adults with diabetes among the cities studied. Austin also had the 10th lowest rate of adults who report being physically inactive.

Senior U.S. officials have repeatedly expressed private concern that Russia could retaliate by escalating inside Ukraine and around the world. Ukraine’s control of Russian territory has taken on intense significance as both sides scramble for advantage ahead of potential talks. He declined to comment on specifics about the steps the Biden administration was taking to respond to the North Korean troops. Though this policy reversal gives Kyiv a significant new tool, Biden administration officials note that Ukraine has very limited stocks of ATACMS.

Norwegian startup Factiverse wants to fight disinformation with AI
