CNN requests federal court to handle Mark Robinson's defamation case
Robinson lost the North Carolina governor race to Josh Stein. CNN filed a Notice of Removal on November 15 requesting the case be moved from Wake County Superior Court to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Robinson also filed a defamation lawsuit against former adult video store worker Louis Love Money. On election night, Robinson was thoroughly defeated by Democrat Josh Stein in the race for North Carolina Governor. Stein's victory by 14.8 percentage points was the largest margin of victory in a North Carolina gubernatorial race since Pat McCrory beat Walter Dalton by 11.39 points in 2012.

Taylor County Home Damaged by Fire Sunday Afternoon
Taylor County Fire Department was dispatched just after 1pm Sunday afternoon to 3219 Greensburg Rd for a residential structure fire, Big Dawg News has learned upon arrival firemen found a one story vinyl sided house with heavy fire showing from the rear portion of the residence. Taylor County firemen deployed multiple hose lines and were able to quickly gain control of the fire, firefighters were on the scene for two hours performing overhaul and extinguishment. The residence sustained heavy smoke and fire damage, the occupants were home at the time of the fire and were able to exit the structure safely. No injuries were reported.

WASHINGTON— President Biden has for the first time authorized Ukrainian forces to use Western-made long-range weapons to strike inside Russia, allowing Kyiv to better defend itself against Russia , according to U.S. officials. The relaxation of Ukraine’s use of the Army Tactical Missile System, or ATACMS, comes after Kyiv pleaded for months to be allowed to strike inside Russia. The restrictions gave Moscow the upper hand in the war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his top aides said publicly and privately. But Biden administration officials were loath to greenlight the strikes until now for fear it could cross a red line for Russia and provoke a wider conflict. The policy shift appears to be part of a Biden administration push to give what it can to Ukraine before Jan. 20.
