Almost everything leaders need their people to do has been adapted in these pressing times. Perhaps the most important question is how we will find opportunities that will secure survival and long-term competitive advantage. Leaders need people with a direction, and who can also keep that direction front and centre daily. Leaders need their people to spot the important shifts customers are making and respond dynamically. Leaders need to get started now.

In New Orleans, Ida brings trauma of Katrina flooding backA view is seen looking from the Claiborne Avenue Bridge towards homes in the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana on August 29, 2021 before the arrival of Hurricane IdaNEW ORLEANS - Chester Lastie clearly recalls Hurricane Katrina, which devastated his neighborhood in eastern New Orleans, 16 years ago to the day. The memories are made all the more vivid by the gusts of wind from Hurricane Ida currently battering his white house. Most of the drowning deaths in Louisiana due to Katrina took place in neighborhoods in the east of New Orleans, including the Lower Ninth Ward, according to a report by authorities released three years after the disaster. Images of roads and houses flooded with brown water from the Mississippi River, which borders the area, were seen around the world, turning the Lower Ninth Ward into one of the main symbols of Katrina's destruction. The chef waited two years before returning to the Lower Ninth Ward, where she grew up.

Messi makes PSG debut as Mbappe steals the showLionel Messi made his PSG debut as a second-half substitute in their win at Reims in Ligue 1 on SundayPARIS - Lionel Messi came on as a substitute to make his Paris Saint-Germain debut on Sunday but Kylian Mbappe stole the show by scoring both goals in a 2-0 win against Reims in Ligue 1. After that they will begin their Champions League campaign away to Club Brugge in Belgium. That amount is also equal to what PSG paid Monaco in 2017 to sign Mbappe, who was clearly eager to go out on a high if this was to be his final appearance for the club. They put up a good fight but the chances of any team in France stopping PSG -- even if Mbappe departs -- are slim. Neymar started, making his first appearance of the season, while Di Maria also played in an all-star attack in Mauricio Pochettino's side.

(Reuters photo)TOKYO: Japan is looking into the possibility of mixing shots of AstraZeneca's Covid-19 vaccine with those developed by other drug makers in a bid to speed up its vaccine rollout, the minister in charge of vaccinations said on Sunday. Japan, which has previously relied on the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccines, approved AstraZeneca's vaccine in July and has secured two million doses. This could speed up the vaccination rollout by shortening the intervals between the first and second shots when using the AstraZeneca vaccine, he said. Japan has inoculated 54% of its population with at least one dose and fully vaccinated 43%, according to a Reuters vaccine tracker.
