The technical issues facing various revenue offices also will be addressed as part of the second phase of expansion. Akshaya, the mission’s pet project launched to address the digital divide, will handle the extension of the scheme, besides offering all technical support to revenue offices and coordinating with various departments for connectivity work. For the speedy implementation of the project, Additional District Magistrate T. Janilkumar on Thursday called a meeting of senior revenue officers, IT Mission team members and heads of various departments. The meeting decided to immediately identify the technical glitches in internet connectivity at revenue offices and consider the scope of integrating other online services into the network. The facility is currently being operated with the support of various Akshaya centres in the district.
