Bozo, Circus Circus Cafe's life-sized clown, was stolen from its Mt Eden location between 8pm and 11pm on March 28. A two metre-tall clown statue has been stolen from outside Auckland's popular Circus Circus Cafe. For 20 years, Bozo – a saxophone-playing clown – has greeted customers outside the Mt Eden cafe, but when staff went to bring him inside on Thursday night, he was nowhere to be seen. Supplied Bozo has been the face of Circus Circus Cafe for 20 years. As the face of the cafe, he said staff could not believe the saxophone-playing clown had been stolen on "busy" Mt Eden Rd.
