Professor T stars comic actor Ben Miller as an academic vaguely specialising in criminology with the obligatory silly name of Jasper Tempest. Treated seriously, this would be a legitimate subject for a dark drama, but Professor T isn’t that show. After a few ropey Sunday crime dramas, it’s a relief to have the real thing back on screen. The only thing that let it down was the way it was promoted as “a tension-drenched true crime thriller”.
