Dee Forbes, the director general of RTÉ, is to continue in the role for another two years. The director general of the media organisation can take the position for a period of five years with the option of extending for another two years. This month marks five years since Forbes took over the top job at RTÉ, which had been previously held by Noel Curran for five years. An RTÉ spokesman said: "Dee Forbes will continue in the position of RTÉ director general until July 2023. Forbes was based in London before taking up the role at RTÉ.
