Storm ‘Urduja’ to dump rains over Eastern Visayas


Tropical Storm “Urduja” (international name: “Kai-tak”) continues to threaten Eastern Visayas, particularly the Samar provinces, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). 2 remained over Samar, Eastern Samar, Northern Samar and Biliran. The red rainfall warning was hoisted over Southern Leyte, Leyte and areas under Signal No. 2, while the yellow rainfall warning was raised over Bohol, Cebu and Siquijor. Urduja was expected to weaken into a tropical depression by Sunday on its way through the Visayas, the weather bureau said.
