Register of Deeds Cruz knowingly issued said TCT, thus along with Baltao, the BIR said he is criminally liable under the Tax Code. Also charged was for violating the Tax Code was Quezon City Register of deeds Danilo Cruz. Meanwhile, the BIR on Friday filed separate criminal complaints against two delinquent corporate taxpayers for their willful failure to pay taxes under the Tax Code. 7-B 12th Avenue, Murphy, Cubao, Quezon, was sued for failing to pay her deficiency tax liability for taxable year 2009 amounting to P4,975,252.35, inclusive of increments, broken down as follows: Income Tax (IT) – P3,074,861.68; Value-Added Tax (VAT) – P1,891,539.60; and Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT) – P8,851.07.
