KUALA LUMPUR: Stop politicising the Better Beer Festival's cancellation as the decision was made due to security concerns. MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said in the past, threats against the nation was not as severe as now, especially in the wake of militants and terrorists attacks. "Groups like Daesh or Islamic State were not this real but now the whole region is on the lookout for security threats. He said it is very irresponsible of certain quarters to politicise MCA's stand for supporting the ban imposed by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for the fest, as it posed security threats. The event organiser had applied for a permit from DBKL on Aug 28 but the application was rejected.
