Widow of the late housing minister Soita Shitanda has asked MPs to honour pledges they made at the burial of her husband. Betty Soita, through Malava MP Malulu Injendi, said that she is yet to get the Sh1.7 million pledged by the legislators. Minority whip Thomas Mwadeghu however urged members who were willing to make personal contributions to do so. Speaker Justin Muturi had tasked Leader of Majority Aden Duale and Minority whip Thomas Mwadeghu to whip their coalition members to make contributions. Injendi lamented that it had become difficult to pursue those who made pledges especially after the burial ceremony.
