The average landed cost of imported kerosene increased by 12.63 per cent from $415.75 (Sh42,114) per tonne to $468.28 (Sh47,435) per tonne. Kerosene has the highest price increase per litre in the review announced on Tuesday by the ERC. The average landed cost of imported diesel during the period increased by 9.19 per cent from $374.60 (Sh37,945)per tonne to $409.02 (Sh41,432) per tonne. A litre of kerosene will cost Sh3.82 more, petrol Sh1.92 higher while diesel has gone up by Sh3.34. ERC has attributed the increase to “weighted average cost of imported refined petroleum products”.
