Nakuru RFC has expressed 'shock' over the arrest of one of its players Javan Morton Murai on suspicion of being involved in terrorism. In a statement on Tuesday, club chairman Ali Saleh Jabri said they had learnt of the arrest through social media and pledged full support to the investigating authorities. Jabri said the player did not show any signs of leaning towards extremism during his time at the team. He last played for the Wanyore was last month during the Enterprise cup match against Strathmore Leos, a match they lost.
