Justice Ibrahim Mohamed has disqualified himself from hearing DCJ Kalpana Rawal's retirement case. "Due to conflict of interest, and the oath of office that I took, I disqualify myself from this case," Mohammed said during Rawal hearing in Supreme court on Tuesday. Mohammed is among five judges hearing the case filed by Rawal and suspended judge Philip Tunoi challenging their retirement at age 70. Mohammed said the "integrity in the Judiciary should not be treated casually" adding that if the Supreme court lacks a quorum, it can lead to dire consequences. Currently, Supreme Court judge Justice Jackton Ojwang is reading his ruling on the matter.
