Badda police OC MA Jalil told bdnews24.com that Detective Branch were investigating the case. On Aug 13, 2015, four Awami League activists were shot while they were engaged in an informal chat among themselves near Adarshanagar water pump at Badda. The deceased were Awami League Dhaka ward-6 unit Joint Secretary Shamsu Molla, Firoze Ahmed Manik, Awami Shwechhasebak League (Dhaka North) leader Mahbubur Rahman Gama and Juba League leader Abdus Salam. “At first 10 to 12 unidentified people were accused in the case filed by Gama’s father Motiur Rahman,” OC Jalil said. Jewel was made the prime accused later.
