The ‘encounter' took place early on Sunday in Moshan area on Kushtia-Meherpur road, RAB Kushtia camp’s Company Commander Maj Mosaddek Ibn Mujib claimed. He said Munshi was accused in at least six robber and arms cases lodged with different police stations in the district. Maj Mujib told bdnews24.com that a RAB team went on a raid at Moshan around 3am after learning that a gang of robbers had gathered there. “The robbers opened fire after seeing the RAB personnel, forcing them to return fire. His accomplices, however, fled the scene.”The RAB official said they also recovered a gun, a magazine, two live bullets, two machetes, a saw for cutting trees and ropes from there.
