CAIRO – 12 November 2020: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that the newly-signed deal of maritime border demarcation between Egypt and Greece would maximize the utilization of natural gas reserves and hydrocarbon wealth of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the Mediterranean for the both countries. President Sisi’s comments were stated during a meeting with Minister of Environment and Energy Kostas Hatzidakis in Athens on Thursday. President Sisi paid Athens a two-day visit on Wednesday. “The two countries have played a prominent role and an undeniable influence on the progress of human civilization in various fields of science, arts and literature,” President Sisi said. This has also imposed on us a shared responsibility to spread the values of peace, tolerance and mutual respect between peoples and cultures of the southern and northern Mediterranean,” President Sisi continued.
