The court order was issued by senior principal magistrate EK Musau at Milimani law court. The copyright officers took away computers said to contain the material at the centre of the dispute. This follows a court order obtained by Transcend Media Group, which has sued Saracen Media, Fieldstone Helms Ltd and Thomas Omanga, alleging infringement on its copyrighted material. He questioned why the copyright officers allowed officials from its competitor Transcend have access to its confidential business files. Officers from the Kenya Copyright Board yesterday raided offices of Saracen Media Ltd in Lavington and confiscated computers over an intellectual property row.
