This came during the series of evenings of the "Cultural Relations" initiative, in celebration of Russia, which is organized by the Foreign Cultural Relations at the Supreme Council for Culture. Russian Ambassador Georgi Borisenko affirmed that the bilateral relations between the Russian and Egyptian sides are witnessing a qualitative leap thanks to the great support provided by Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and President Vladimir Putin, President of Russia. The Russian Ambassador also referred to Russia's cooperation with Egypt regarding the production of the new Russian drug to battle COVID-19. Ambassador Ezzat Saad said that Egypt is Russia's largest economic and trade partner in the African continent and the Middle East. Saad further stated that today, both brotherly people need to particularly deepen cultural relations, pointing to the importance of scholarships offered annually by Russian universities to Egyptian students, which total more than one hundred scholarships.
