Adsense 300×250After a significant breakthrough creating the conditions to reunify institutions in Libya and leading the country toward national elections on 24 December, Pakistan on Sunday welcomed the formation of the Government of National Unity. According to the details, in a statement today the Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said Pakistan welcomes the endorsement by the Libyan Parliament to the cabinet proposed by the Prime Minister-designate of the brotherly State of Libya and the successful formation of the Government of National Unity. He also acknowledged the positive role played by the UN Support Mission in Libya. Earlier, the European Union also welcomed the vote by Libya’s parliament to approve a unity government. The European Union in its statement called on all the Libyan stakeholders to ensure a timely and seamless transfer of power to the Government of National Unity.
