Million of older voters could be denied ballots under plans to force them to show photo identification before crossing a box in elections, Labour warned tonight. But, under the Government’s upcoming Elections Bill, a voter ID system will require electors to show photographic ID so they can cast a ballot in the next general election, due in May 2024.
