European shares end higher, with banks leading gains

AIB rose 2.3 per cent to €9.02, bouncing back from a Europe-wide decline in banking stocks late last week. Food group Kerry Group added 1 per cent to its share price, while insulation specialist Kingspan rose 0.6 per cent.
