The retail stores and flats will follow after that, the Hidco official said. Hidco has started a design competition for architecture firms to get a state-of-the-art design for the building. The building will have 200,000sq ft of retail space and 512,266sq ft for residential units. The plot on which the building will come up can accommodate more than 2,000 vehicles at the moment, a Hidco official said. Hidco took the decision to use the plot for parking buses following several complaints of residents about buses parked in lanes inside blocks, he said.
