A person has been flown to hospital in a critical condition after a car crashed into a tree in the Eighty Eight Valley, near Nelson. A police spokeswoman said the crash occurred at 11.50am on Monday, after a car went off the road near Robson Reserve, trapping one person inside. St John spokeswoman Beverley Tse said multiple resources had been sent to the scene, including an ambulance, a first response unit, and a rapid response unit.
