Tim Tebow’s awaited debut with the Philippine national baseball team has to wait as the Major League Baseball (MLB) postponed indefinitely the 2021 World Baseball Classic (WBC) Qualifiers scheduled on March 13 to 25 in Tucson Arizona due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The MLB also delayed the the start of its new season scheduled on March 26. The New York Mets minor league outfielder Tebow was supposed to play his first game for the Philippines in the WBC Qualifier 2 slated March 20 to 25. The Philippine Team was scheduled to play against Czech Republic in their opening game. He then played for the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos in the National Football League before playing professional baseball in 2016.
