ILIGAN CITY: The provincial government of Lanao del Norte has placed the province under general community quarantine (GCQ) from May 3 until further notice. Listed as among the moderate-risk areas in the country, Lanao del Norte, as well as Lanao del Sur, was among the localities that sought permission to extend the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) but was denied by the government’s task force against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). Bangsamoro parliament member Zia Alonto Adiong, spokesman for the Lanao del Sur Inter-Agency Task Force on Covd-19, confirmed that a request of Lanao del Sur and Marawi City (Lanao del Norte) was rejected.
