Kisumu governor Jack Ranguma has criticised the police for shootingone man dead and wounding innocent citizens. He also urged security agencies to stop hiding behind “full force” orders and provoking violence. He said the protesters committed no crime by coming out to protest against the IEBC on Monday. Ranguma said under the constitutional, police should be protecting lives and property of citizens, adding demonstrators have a right to assemble and picket. In a statement to the press, Ranguma said Jubilee must hold talks with the opposition urgently to cool the growing tension.
