The Garissa government plans to soon hold its first investment summit following its connection to the national power grid. Speaking to the press at his office, Jama said the connection of Garissa town to the national grid was a major selling point. Governor Nathif Jama said his administration has identified 10 major investment opportunities that will be of interest to local and international firms. Jama commended security agencies for fighting crime and said the county has enjoyed peace in the past one year. I therefore call for the contribution of every resident towards security in the county,” he said.
