Central region will decide as a community who to support for President in 2022, Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has said. He said although he personally supports Deputy President William Ruto, the community will have to discuss and agree on who to back. Kabogo spoke on Wednesday at Kimunye village in Kirinyaga county during the burial of Jackan Ndathi, the father of Kirinyaga Governor Joseph Ndathi. Kirinyaga Central MP Joseph Gitari had asked Kabogo to clarify sentiments that emerged in a section of the media, suggesting that Kabogo had said Central will not support Ruto for President in 2022. Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos asked Central to support the Deputy President in 2022 to return the favour, as Ruto supported Uhuru in 2013 and is still behind him in 2017.
