Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale was arrested yesterday as he led demonstrations against the IEBC in Kakamega town. Khalwale was arrested alongside two youths and driven in a police Land Rover to the Kakamega central police station. Police broke up the protests at the Kakamega deputy county commissioner’s gate by lobbing teargas at the protesters. We are hoping they will take us to court now.”Trouble started when supporters of the protest charged towards those against the protests led by ODM National Youth League chairmanRashid Mohammed, ODM MCA Cleophas Malala and businessman Cleophas Shimanyula. Khalwale claimed Deputy President William Ruto and a senior police officer assassinated businessman Jacob Juma.
