The police may impose a curfew in the Kerio Valley to combat escalating crime in Marakwet and Baringo East. Rift Valley regional coordinator Wanyama Musiambo on Saturday said the police will impose a curfew if the clashes do not stop. If this insecurity menace doesn’t stop, we will be left with no other option, but to impose a curfew,” he said. Marakwet East MP Kangogo Bowen urged residents to donate the disputed land to the government if it becomes difficult to resolve the conflicts. He said teachers in Sawach and Tot primary schools and Tot Mixed Day Secondary School are not willing to continue teaching for fear of attack.
