Members of Mahiira Housing Company Ltd have accused “self-proclaimed” directors of illegal allocations and grabbing plots belonging to the elderly. Member Benson Mwangi said he has lost three 50x80 plots after he was issued with two fake title deeds. Speaking on Saturday at Mwihoko after a meeting, the members told journalists the fake directors increased the title deed fee from Sh15,000 to Sh80,000 and give out fake papers. I paid for my title deed in April 2014 but I have not received it. They’ve halted issuance of share certificates and title deeds.
