Karuturi creditors to pick new liquidators on Saturday

Liquidators of Naivasha-based flower farm Karuturi are set to meet the company’s creditors on Saturday to oversee appointment of new managers of the firm’s wind up process. The liquidators, Thoithi Muniu and Kuria Muchiru were appointed on April 6 following a wind up order issued on March 30. The two said their acceptance of the appointment as liquidators was to plug management gap of the company temporarily. Last week, lawyers representing Karuturi’s directors questioned the qualification of the liquidators appointed by Price Water House-Coopers, adding that they were not licensed under the new Insolvecy Act of 2015.
