The projects by SGR contractor China Road and Bridge Corporation, include new schools, boreholes, rehabilitation of roads and construction of health centres. Thousands of people living along at the Standard Gauge Railway route are set to benefit from multi-million shilling projects that aim to boost their welfare. Zhao said the school is set to be completed by June. CRBC is constructing a school in Syokimau that could host more than 150 students. Steven Zhao, CRBC’s external relations and cooperation manager said: “We have carried out various social activities and tried to meet local requirements, thus injecting energy into healthy social development.”Zhao said the company will put extra focus on education so as to boost capacity of the local communities.
