Masanari Omura notched the game-winning goal, as Kaya FC-Iloilo returned to its winning ways by stunning Davao Aguilas FC, 2-1, in the Philippines Football League (PFL) 2018 on Saturday at the Iloilo Sports Complex. Japanese defender Omura scored off a corner kick late in the match, helping the second-running Lions rebound from a 1-3 loss to Global Cebu FC. Davao were dominant in this game but because of our discipline, shape and eagerness to really bounce back from our previous defeat, we were able to manage and get this sweet victory,” said Kaya Iloilo head coach Noel Marcaida. Left unmarked at the far post, Omura tapped in the setpiece by Miguel Tanton to give the lead back to Kaya with 15 minutes left. It became the eventual match-winner as the home team’s tight defense denied Davao of another equalizer.
