A native of Silang, Cavite, Carranza, replaces Chief Supt Guillermo Eleazar, who will now lead the National Capital Region (Metro Manila) Police Office (NCRPO). “As I assume command as your regional director, I will be fully committed to align PRO Calabarzon with the aims of the PNP to bring back discipline to the ranks. “As your regional director, I am ordering that pending cases of policemen accused of corruption and other criminal acts be resolved at the soonest time possible. It is high time to cleanse the Police Regional Office-Calabarzon of a few rotten eggs,” he added. The newly installed regional director said he will intensify the campaign against focus crimes–murder, homicide, theft, robbery, car theft, physical injuries and rape–even as he wages a relentless war against drugs.
