KOTA BARU: The son of Parti Amanah Negara vice-president Datuk Husam Musa pleaded not guilty to a charge of possessing 20g of methamphetamine at a house near here last Saturday (Nov 18). Ahmad Syafi Husam (pic), 29, claimed trial to the charge before Magistrate Kamarul Hasyime Rosli on Wednesday. He was alleged to be in possession of the drugs at a house in Kamoung Jelutong at 3.30pm on Nov 18. The court set Jan 14 for a re-mention of the case and released the accused on a RM10,000 bail with one surety. Ahmad Syafi was charged under Section 12(2) of Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which carries a maximum five-year jail term and whipping if found guilty.
