KUALA LUMPUR: The Electric Train Service (ETS) will offer business-class coaches starting next year, said Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi. In addition, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) will also introduce a new ETS ticketing system in two weeks. In March, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had instructed KTMB to find an immediate solution to various customer complaints about its services, notably on the ETS online ticketing system. KTMB currently operates 36 trips daily via its 14 ETS units from Gemas to Padang Besar and Padang Besar to Gemas. About 7,000 passengers use the ETS services daily, with a capacity of 360 seats for each unit.
