Zahid: Can't confirm if 20 Uighur detainees escaped to Malaysia - Nation

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has no confirmation if the 20 Uighur men who escaped from the Immigration detention centre in Sadao, Thailand have entered the country. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) said the Malaysian authorities have received information (of the escape) from the Thais. "If they are actually in the country, the authorities in Malaysia will know how to get them. "They are still at large but there is no confirmation whether they are here in our country. The 20 Uighur men escaped on Monday at around 2am (local time) after they allegedly drilled holes in the detention room wall.
