Mohit Burman, the Kings XI co-owner, explained why the franchise belatedly bid for Gayle. In the IPL, Gayle has played for the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers Bangalore, but hasn't been a consistent performer. A single bid, Rs 11.5 crore, was enough to take Unadkat to another level. The DareDevils and the Kings XI, by the way, look really solid with plenty of ammunition.
