Mr Phillips was an aviation expert with more than 3,000 hours of total flying time, according to his CV. It is not known if Mr Phillips, thought to be from the north east, was flying the plane at the time of the crash on Thursday. Three Brits, including Mr Phillips, and one South African were killed in the DA62 aircraft crash. On Mr Phillips' CV, it says that since September 2014 he had been "offering flight calibration services for aircraft across UK, Europe and Middle East". A statement from Honeywell said: “We are deeply saddened by yesterday’s plane crash in Dubai, and our heartfelt condolences are with the victims’ families.
