Hermeus has announced that it is developing a supersonic aircraft that can travel at speeds of over 3,000 miles/hour. The tech startup has received funding from Khosla Ventures, which will allow them to start developing the aircraft. At this speed, flight times from New York to London will be reduced from seven hours to just 90 minutes, according to Hermeus. Lockheed Martin is working on an aircraft called the X-59 Quiet Supersonic Technology craft, while Boeing has revealed a concept for a supersonic jet, that will also travel at Mach 5.
