A fruit growing and packing business at the centre of the Australian strawberry contamination scandal is owned by a convicted drug trafficker named in a confidential report on organised crime. There was no response for requests for comment from the Queensland strawberry business. Another local grower, Ray Daniels, said the Donnybrook operation handled other brands through its packing operation but would not say which ones. FAIRFAX MEDIA Neighbours said the Elimbah business was by far the busiest fruit operation in the district.
