The Election Commission has decided to hold the by-election in the Dhaka-17 constituency on July 17. The Election Commission Secretariat made the announcement by issuing a notification on Thursday. Election Commissioner Md Jahangir Alam said that according to the announced schedule, interested candidates can submit nomination papers till June 15. Nomination papers can be withdrawn till June 25. He was elected as a Member of Parliament for the first time from Awami League in the 11th National Parliament Election.
